Philosophy

My work as a psychologist is not simply a career; it is a calling. I have worked with people since becoming licensed in 1990. I love what I do.

Acceptance-based psychotherapy is an evidence-based approach that teaches how to deal with life’s unavoidable pains. In doing so, we gain greater control over our emotions, our actions, our interactions; ourselves.

Self-awareness increases. Self-acceptance increases. Self-blame decreases. We become more in touch with our thoughts, our feelings, our experiences, ourselves. As we clarify what really matters to us, we are in a better position to choose how to navigate life.

Move from the passenger’s seat to the driver’s seat. Take  control  rather than be controlled by life, people, places, and things. You recognize that you have choices. You run the show! That’s freedom!
